About
Pretty Hooks by Lauren was born from a dream. A dream of one day owning my own business. I started teaching myself how to crochet in 2020 during the pandemic as a way to unwind after my job at the time as a support worker trying to survive lockdowns. It quickly turned into one of my favourite past times. I started making baby blankets and comforters for friends and family who had babies on the way and then branched out into some of the things we have now as products. Friends suggested I use my new skills to acheive a dream of mine and start a business selling my pieces. So, with only the yarn in my stash, an idea and a lot of hope, Pretty Hooks was born in November 2021.

Here at Pretty Hooks by Lauren, we pride ourselves on only using the best quality materials to make our products. All of our yarn is Oteko-Tex Standard 100 Certified and EN71-3 Certificated. What does this mean? Well, this means that all of our yarn is compliant with current UK Regulations for safety and free of harmful chemical substances.
